Well….this summer is almost over and wow….did it fly by quickly! I didn’t plan to not post over the summer months but I did try and cut down on the screen time and enjoy what the summer had to offer. That being said I did manage to keep fairly busy with family sessions and even snuck in some personal work and the odd bit of coastal exploration….
Instead of using 1500 words or so to give you the flavour of what I actually got up to….I’ll let the images speak for themselves. I am very lucky to be able to work at what I truly have a passion to do in a place that offers so much…great food, great landscapes, and most importantly great people!
The pandemic has definitely lead to a slower than expected summer for family sessions but the odd group has enlisted my services and it was very enjoyable getting back at it.
Here is a small sample of the great families I get to photograph!

Fall looks very promising with sessions booking up quickly and I am looking forward to meeting more incredible people!
My wife and I managed to take a mini-vacation and visited the Digby area of Nova Scotia. We enjoyed a couple nights away from the big city and explored that part of the province and although it was foggy and wet…it was great to get away.
Later in the summer we managed to take a kayak tour of the Halifax Harbour…it was a beautiful paddle and our guide was amazing!
My good friend and fellow photographer Dana Pitts, ventured out a couple times seeking new roads and new vistas. Dana, although very familiar with this part of the world, arrived in Nova Scotia just ahead of us as the pandemic was just beginning. We share a love of coastline and anything Maritime.
I try as best I can, to do the odd personal project when it comes to portrait work. This summer has introduced me to some new faces and allowed me to visit others that I have worked with in the past.
I love the Halifax waterfront and spend a great deal of time walking and photographing things that catch my attention. Not always conventional in nature the one thing I love is that it is always changing…always offering up something new. This summer was no different…when in need of “ocean therapy’, I grabbed my gear and went for a stroll.
